Arthur W.J.G. Ord-Hume is a superb writer and an aeronautical engineer like myself. I am currently reading two more of his books; "Pertpetual Motion' and "How to Build a Homemade Aircraft". both superb books also. Highest praise to writing skills, intelligence,depth and breadth of intellect and a very wide-ranging interest in many subjects.
